Planning a Visit
We’re so glad you’re thinking about joining us. Here’s everything you need to know to feel right at home on your first Sunday.
A Welcome from Pastor Steve
Take 90 seconds to meet Pastor Steve and hear a little about who we are before you visit.
You're Welcome Here
Whether you’ve been part of a church your whole life or you’re stepping into one for the very first time, Meridian is a place where you’ll be met with warmth, kindness, and genuine community.
There’s no dress code, no pressure, and no judgment. Come as you are – we’re just glad you’re here. Our hope is that you’ll leave feeling connected and encouraged.
What to Expect
Whether you sing, play an instrument, or run the soundboard, there’s a place for you.
👋
A Friendly Welcome
You’ll be greeted at the door by someone who’s happy to help you find your way. Don’t hesitate to ask questions – that’s what we’re here for.
🎵
Worship & Music
Our services include a blend of traditional hymns, Scripture reading, prayer, and a message from Pastor Steve. Services typically last about an hour.
👕
Come As You Are
You’ll see everything from suits to jeans on a Sunday morning. Wear whatever makes you comfortable – we care about you being here, not what you’re wearing.
Service Times
We offer two services every Sunday morning.
8:45 AM
Early Service
A wonderful way to start your Sunday. This service is recorded each week so you can rewatch it anytime on our Sermons page.
11:00 AM
Late Service
Same welcoming community with a slightly different feel, a little less liturgy, a little more music. If you prefer a more relaxed worship style, this one’s for you.
Both services share the same message and worship style. Pick whichever fits your morning best.
For Your Kids
We want your kids to love coming to church just as much as you do. We offer safe, age-appropriate programs so they can learn and have fun while you enjoy the service.
✓ Nursery available for infants and toddlers
✓ Kids 4th grade and under are dismissed to Junior Church after the children’s sermon
✓ Sunday school classes for all ages
✓ Safe check-in and check-out process
✓ All volunteers are background-checked
🎒
Bringing Older Kids or Teens
Middle and high schoolers have their own Sunday school class between both morning services. They also meet Sunday evenings for youth group — games, Bible study, and fun events. Visitors are always welcome.
Common Questions
Here are the questions first-time visitors ask us most often. Click any question to see the answer.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable. You’ll see everything from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts. There’s no dress code – we care about you being here, not what you’re wearing.
Where do I park?
There’s a free parking lot right next to the building on Highland Avenue. If the lot is full, there’s additional street parking nearby. Look for our greeters if you need help finding your way in.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend showing up 10–15 minutes before the service starts (so by 8:30 AM or 10:45 AM). That gives you time to park, meet a greeter, drop your small children off in the nursery, and find a seat without feeling rushed.
How long is the service?
Services typically run about one hour. They include worship music, Scripture reading, prayer, and a message from Pastor Steve.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope – just yourself. Bibles are provided in the pews, and the words to songs are projected on screens. You don’t need to bring a Bible, money, or anything else.
Will I be asked to stand up or introduce myself
No. You can simply come in, sit down, and enjoy the service. There’s no visitor recognition, no card to fill out at your seat, and no one will single you out.
Is there Communion?
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. All who profess faith in Jesus Christ are welcome to participate.
Is the building accessible
Yes. The front of our building has accessible an entrance, seating, and restrooms. If you have specific accessibility needs, feel free to contact us ahead of your visit and we’ll make sure everything is ready.
Finding Us
We’re located on Highland Avenue in Meridian, just a short drive from Butler. There’s plenty of free parking right next to the building.
