Mike joined Meridian in October of 2018. He is a 2003 graduate of Geneva College with a bachelor’s degree in Student Ministry. He received his Masters of Higher Education with a focus in ministry in 2006 from Geneva College, and completed his Masters of Theology in May of 2025. He has also completed ECO’s commissioned lay pastor program and was ordained and installed as Associate Pastor in January of 2026. Mike brings more than 15 years of youth and family ministry experience to Meridian.

Mike and his wife, Julie, married in 2004. They have 4 children, Jacob, Grace, Luke, and David. The Bartons enjoy family vacations, playing games, taking care of their variety of pets, and spending time together.

Mike enjoys his family, but also watching movies and sports, hiking and outdoor activities, and cooking on either his smoker or outdoor grill.
